Joe Stimac
Welcome to Interview Ready. The program is the culmination of my 20+ years of research on selection. It is my passion and my social cause.
I want to provide you with the knowledge and tools to help you identify opportunities you haven't considered, find work that will make you happy and fulfilled, give you the courage to change jobs and pursue your dream job.
In my career, I have trained over 10,000 directors, hiring managers, and recruiters on how to conduct effective job interviews.
My clients include global organizations, elite special forces commands, universities, non-profit organizations, and job seekers ranging from students to CEOs.
I train my clients on how to improve selection, retention, and engagement. Interviewing is a learned skill, just like any other skill. I watch organizations transform with the training and tools my team and I provide.
I observe interview boards and watch highly qualified candidates that looked great on their resumes, make simple mistakes that cost them the job offer.
I watch mature job seekers with incredible experience fail to address ageism biases and get passed over for younger applicants with less experience.
For some, it is their third, fourth or fifth attempt at landing a job offer. Each failed outcome takes a huge emotional toll. They come to the interview defeated and try their best to appear positive and enthusiastic. I want to help you restore your confidence!
Each individual's job or career provides a title and an identity. When we meet a stranger, the conversation often turns to “so what do you do?” The other person responds, “I am a bus driver, a scientist, a teacher, an engineer, an accountant, a social worker, a clerk, a welder, a professor.”
When a person loses their job, they lose that title and part of their identity. At social events, I hear unemployed job seekers apologetically say, “I am currently between jobs, or my career is in transition.”
I created Interview Ready to help you find your passion, rebuild your confidence and extract every possible ounce of value that YOU bring to an employer by helping you understand the selection process from the employer’s perspective.
The assessment questions are designed to help you uncover the areas (pitfalls) that could derail your job search. It’s just as important to avoid mistakes as it is to have a great interview.
The proprietary Interview Builder tool inside Interview Ready is a game-changer.
It allows you to quickly create job-specific interview packets for each job opening, identify your best examples and practice your interviewing skills out loud to build the neural connections and feel comfortable talking about your accomplishments.
I want to give you every possible advantage so I invited notable career experts to share their best advice. I conducted videotaped interviews with career center directors and advisors from MIT, Harvard, Williams College as well as top recruiters, HR Directors, and hiring managers from prominent organizations to help you get the broadest perspective, master the process, and build your confidence.
My college professor and mentor Dr. E.C Bovee gave me advice I live by. He said, "Your decisions today will impact your life in the future. If you decide to do nothing, you have made a decision and your life will remain the same. If you decide to take bold action, you will set events in motion today that will alter the trajectory of your entire existence."
I want to empower you to change the trajectory of your life!
